This summer CGA has been working once more with D&D London, this time to improve the audio at Bluebird in Chelsea.
Bluebird’s incredible first-floor restaurant can be transformed into a spectacular event space for up to 200 seated for a dinner dance and up to 500 for a reception. Boasting a high atrium ceiling, stunning bar and listed beams the space needed the AV enhanced to support the ever-changing requirements of events.
CGA completed an upgrade of the sound control and processing in the main restaurant space to ensure that all areas, and therefore guests, receive a great audio experience.
All trading sessions now have a preset level that is recalled by a scheduler to ensure that each session starts at the correct level. In addition, as control is now from an iPad, this allows staff to move through the dining spaces to check sound levels are correct during an event and tweak them if necessary.
CGA also replaced all wall controls to allow easy guest-facing volume controls throughout, with a master iPad control that allows source selection.
Each space; Beaufort, Gallery, Bluebird, Campbell and Mezzanine now all have a local input for use by DJs, local sound mixers, or during events. The Mezzanine, a smaller private dining space overlooking the main restaurant, also has an installed Bluetooth node to enable personal music to be played during fine dining events. In addition, a TV was fitted in the Beaufort room for use during business meetings and to allow the viewing of sports events.
The whole system is supported by CGA remotely to minimise downtime and ensure that this flexible function space is as agile as possible.
