CGA is very proud to be working with Belmond to improve the sound quality, flexibility and connectivity of the sound systems on their world-renowned Venice Simplon-Orient-Express.
An uncontested icon of the rails, this train has long captured the hearts and imaginations of glamorous guests and is just welcoming them back for the season, the first after the pandemic.
Following an initial consultation, a team from CGA flew to Italy to survey the carriages and develop a phased plan.
The plan has now been deployed with CGA installing standardised digital sound processors, new amplifiers and bespoke controls to three dining cars and a new radio microphone and a sound processor within the bar car.
A CGA team has subsequently traveled on the first leg of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express’ journey between Venice and Switzerland to ensure that the sound was working as smoothly as expected and to train the staff in operating the new system.
Andrew Wall, Project Director from Belmond commented “The new sound system installed by CGA sounds fantastic and enhances the luxurious experience our guests expect. The staff have already commented on the improved quality of the sound and how easy the new system is to operate”.
Andrew continued “CGA has delivered our requirements and turned the project around quickly, to ensure the new sound system is up and running well ahead of our guests embarking.”
CGA are looking forward to continuing to work with Belmond and their technical partners on the further stages of this project, ensuring that the historic carriages of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express sound as impressive as they look for the next generation of discerning guests.
